Carrie Yoon is an architect and designer with over 28 years of experience in architecture. For 25 years, she was a vital part of Safdie Architects, where she spent 23 years as titled staff and 17 years as a principal/partner. During her tenure, Carrie’s significant contribution to projects include the Telfair Museum of Art, the United States Institute of Peace, the Marina Bay Sands hotel and sky-park, the Salt Lake City Library, and the Raffle City Chongqing. As one of the firm’s lead design partners, she has also successfully led numerous design competitions and executed concept designs varying from masterplans and large-scale mixed use to residential, hospitality, and smaller cultural projects.

In 2022, she left Safdie Architects to pursue her own practice. With a strong commitment to her work and a desire to create smart, beautiful, and warm spaces, Carrie is dedicated to providing exceptional design solutions.  She believes that contemporary design can be both warm and welcoming, as well as serene and tranquil.  Purpose, livability, natural light, and connection between indoors and outdoors are all ideals that inform her work.
